Austin Online Academy Receives National Recognition

"As a passionate educator dedicated to fostering safe, welcoming environments enriched with meaningful learning experiences, being recognized as a 2024 Digital Learning Day honoree is incredibly humbling," Jessica Cabeen, principal of Austin Online Academy in Minnesota, said in a press release Monday.

Austin Online Academy is a virtual learning program that allows students in grades 9 through 12 to learn wherever and whenever they want, the Austin Daily Herald reports.

It's one of four such programs recognized by All4Ed during the group's Digital Learning Day on Feb.

15, which featured a message from Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona and discussions about the importance of "offering flexible and accessible learning options," the press release notes.

Austin Online Academy is currently enrolling nearly 100 students.
