A Florida woman has been named a Good Hero for her work with the Sarasota Ballet, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reports.
Elizabeth "Betty" Ferguson has been a volunteer at the ballet's box office for more than 30 years.
"She interacts with our patrons with kindness and compassion and handles each situation in a timely and professional manner," the ballet says in a press release.
"She is highly proficient and creative at solving problems and taking appropriate action."
Ferguson has also served as an usher and handling calls during performances.
"Trusted and relied upon, volunteers become the heart and soul of the organization, personally sharing their passion with others," the ballet says.
"Betty has volunteered at the box office for countless years, contributing to its success and efficiency while also volunteering as an usher and handling will call during performances," the ballet continues.
"Her passion and love for the arts are what make her an outstanding volunteer and advocate."
