Possible changes being made to the National Park Service guidelines dealing with there philanthropic partnerships and donations. After a few years on the drawing board the new proposal has been submitted for public review and is now in a 45 day review period.
A few possible changes may include such things has the continued partnerships with alcoholic beverage companies and there donations. Another giving the philanthropic partners the ability to raise money from crowdfunding resources. A few others like the positions at the National Park Service for staffing.
The most surprising update is the continued partnerships that the parks are allowed to accept from alcohol companies. The surprise is due the push back that was voiced when a Park Service Director signed a waiver in January 2015 allowing the National Park Foundation to accept $2.5 million from Anheuser-Busch.
