Meet the Tunisian woman who made it onto Forbes 30 under 30 list

28-year-old Sarah Toumi discusses her lifelong passion for social entrepreneurship and how it has influenced her work.

Since the young age of 12 she has been working to change the world, particularly through providing more educational opportunities for disadvantaged children. In the years that have followed, Toumi has broadened her scope to combatting various environmental crises namely climate change and deforestation which have resulted in a decrease in rainwater.

Toumi recognized the large problem this created for farmers and established her program Acacias for All to aid farmers in using techniques that will both benefit their crops while being more environmentally conscious. Through her program Toumi works to introduce farmers to the beneifits provided by acacia trees whose nutrients serve to enrich the soil and allow for a more fruitful harvest.
