Starbucks has announced a major investment in two coffee farms in Central America in an effort to combat climate change and boost the region's coffee supply, the AP reports.
The company says it will spend $100 million over five years to expand and improve coffee operations in Guatemala and Honduras.
Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz says in a statement that the investment is part of the company's "long-term commitment to the health and well-being of people and the planet."
