Oman's National Bank has taken a big step into the world of startups by opening an " Innovation Lab" that it says will help the country's young people "turn new ideas into successful enterprises with strategies which promise high growth and sustainable growth."
The bank says the lab, which opened last week, will offer mentorship, tools, and resources, as well as access to the bank's extensive network of business contacts, the Times of Oman reports.
The bank says the initiative is part of its " strategy to nurture and sustain Oman's dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem."
The bank says it plans to open similar accelerators in other Middle Eastern countries.
