Csu Developing 11 New Climate Coursework Projects to Prepare Future Sustainability Leaders

Colorado State University students will soon have more courses on climate change and sustainability to choose from.

The school has received more than $100,000 in grants to revamp 11 existing courses and add 11 new ones, the Denver Post reports.

"All students should leave the university being able to translate knowledge from their field to make change in the world," says Aleta Weller, senior research and engagement officer at CSU's School of Global Environmental Sustainability.

Some of the new courses: Fashion Context: Samuel Tham, journalism and media communication; Ruoh-Nan (Terry) Yan, design and merchandising.

Communicating Climate Change as the Unifying Theme of a Geoscience Degree: Sean Gallen; Daniel McGrath; Sara Rathburn; William Sanford; Lisa Stright; Rick Aster, all in geosciences.

Chemical and Biological Engineering: Minnie Piffarerio, chemical and biological engineering.

Global Studies Through Data Course in International Studies: Julia Lee, political science.Graphic Greenprints: Sustainability Stories in Marginalized Worlds: Aparna Gollapudi, English.
