The state has more than 160,000 regulatory restrictions in the administrative code.
A group of Republican lawmakers introduced a package of bills to cut red tape, strengthen oversight of agency regulations and ensure a more accountable regulatory environment.
The legislation creates a net-zero regulatory budgeting framework for new administrative code regulations.
