To combat climate change, BASF is working with a company in Vietnam called Takazuri to develop smart building solutions, the BBC reports.
According to a press release, BASF has partnered with Takazuri to develop "smart building solutions supporting climate-resilient construction in Eastern Africa."
The two will work together to develop BASF's plastic additives, which are designed to withstand the region's unique weather conditions.
"We hope this collaboration will benefit the construction sector and local communities in East Africa, fostering economic growth," BASF East Africa's general manager says.
Meanwhile, BASF is working with Takazuri to build a playground for students with special needs in Vietnam.
