Canada's 945 Princess Street is now the country's first carbon-neutral innovation center, the Environment Journal reports.
The 230,000-square-foot building in Kingston, Ont., has undergone $70 million in renovations to become a sustainable innovation hub.
" Sustainability and innovation have been integrated into all aspects of its design from the construction to the building's tenants and its operations," says Kingston Mayor Bryan Paterson.
The center will see carbon emissions reduced by more than 80%.
"The modern, sustainable innovation center will see carbon emissions reduced by more than 80% and will attract jobs and prominent tenants to the community for years to come," says Ehren Cory, CEO of the building's owner, Modern Niagara.
