Innovators from around the world are being offered up to $150,000 to create solutions to plastic pollution in Somalia, the Guardian reports.
The Innovation Challenge 2024, a partnership between the Norwegian government and the Social Plastics for Economic Development lab, aims to find and test innovative solutions " sustainably reduce plastic consumption, recycle plastic waste, and create alternative livelihoods for the most vulnerable groups residing in Hargeisa," per the call for applications.
