India's annual toy contest is back after a two-year hiatus, and this year's theme is "Regenerating Local Heritage."
The State Council of Educational Research and Training, Jammu & Kashmir, says it wants to promote "innovative ideas and reviving local heritage" in the state by holding the 2024 Toycathon, reports the Times of India.
The contest is open to students between the ages of 6 and 12.
Last year's contest saw more than 1.25 million entries and 115 design registrations, per a release.
"This overwhelming response underscored the immense creativity and talent present among students across the region," it says.
