The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism is out with a new report on substance abuse, and it's a doozy.

The report, published in the journal Alcoholism and Alcoholism: Clinical, Policy, and Practice, finds that nearly half of all Americans suffering from substance abuse disorders have used drugs of some kind at some point in their lives, and that many of those disorders can be linked to both mental health and substance abuse issues.
