Tork Showcases Sustainable Hygiene Innovations at Issa Show North America 2023

It's a good thing Essity, owner of the Tork cleaning brand, isn't afraid to go green.

The company has been honored by the International Sanitary Supply Association with the ISSA Environment & Sustainability Award, which recognizes companies that have made significant strides in the cleaning industry.

Tork's carbon-neutral soap dispensers were among those honored, and the company notes that as of October 2023, a "select range of existing Tork brand innovative dispensers in North America are carbon neutral certified," per a press release.

The dispensers use purchased renewable electricity in the production, and the remaining carbon emissions are offset through investments in climate projects, such as supplying clean drinking water in Cambodia, providing energy-efficient cookstoves in India, and supporting forest protection in Indonesia, per the press release.

Essity also notes that its virtual-reality tool, Tork VR Clean Hands Training and Education, is designed to make hand hygiene training more engaging.
