Kids in Australia can now play in one of the country's biggest nature play spaces.
The Glenthorne National Park-Ityamaiitpinna Yarta has opened its new, $13.9 million adventure playground, which includes three slides, a seesaw, fossil dig, Kaurna carvings, rope and log climbing, a pendulum swing, and a 25-foot-long flying fox, reports news.com.au.
It's surrounded by a visitor hub that includes shelters, BBQs, toilets, picnic areas, carparks, and heritage buildings.
"The new inclusive adventure playground and other attractions at the park are a wonderful way for children and immerse themselves in nature and the cultural and heritage experiences on offer," says the director of the Department for Environment and Water, which worked with the Kaurna community to develop the playground.
The trails feature interpretive signs and an interactive app, which explores the Aboriginal and European history of the park, as well as its environmental restoration and activities for children. Read the Entire Article
