In the face of climate change, the government of Ireland is putting its money where its mouth is.
It's pouring $5.8 million into 43 creative, cultural, and artistic projects across the country as part of its second Creative Climate Action Fund, the Irish Times reports.
The fund, which the government says is "hugely ambitious," supports projects that "build awareness around climate change and empowers citizens to make meaningful behavioral changes," according to the Irish Independent.
Among the projects receiving funding are a project that will look at how the laneways of historic towns can adapt to climate change, a project to raise awareness about the restoration and rewilding of a national park, and a project to create a "creative co-creation toolkit that will target local governments working with flood affected communities," the country's arts minister says.
