The Ealing Beaver Project is the UK's first fully urban beaver enclosure.
Five Eurasian beavers were released into a 20-acre nature reserve near Ealing station.
The beavers slowed water, raised water tables, built ponds and created messier, wetter habitat.
Researchers found that beaver wetlands could hold water back during heavy rain, reducing peak flows downstream.
