Energy companies Brightergy and Women In Solar Energy are teaming up to develop KidSun! KidSun! is a medium for students and teachers to have real conversations about energy. Combining techniques, such as practical activities displaying the underlying principles of energy consumption, as well as showing students the data directly, in order to create a comprehensive understanding of the material.
Hopefully, by the end of the year the program will be rolled out. Every level from professionals to teachers to students will be able to work in real time to bring energy education to a new generation. The Larder Cook School in West Lothian is a social enterprise that trains young people for a career in the food business. Recently, the school has launched a crowdfunder to help it teach another 80 students a year.
