China's government wants young people to be the key to the country's future.
At a forum in Beijing on Sunday, officials and experts agreed that young people play a key role in driving innovation and growth, the South China Morning Post reports.
"Young people are among the most vibrant and creative groups," said You Jun, head of the Communist Party of China Beijing Municipal Committee, per the China Daily.
He said authorities in Beijing have been working to improve the environment for innovation and entrepreneurship through a series of policies and initiatives, including talent evaluation, research management, and commercialization of achievements.
Beijing has become a magnet for global talent and resources, he added.
